Meeting the Yorkshire Regiment Marathon Runners who completed their 260 mile run on Friday 17th October in Bridlington, they were met by the Mayor and Mayoress of Bridlington at the finish.

The Town Council with Bridlington in Bloom have been instrumental in replacing the vandalised statue in Lamplugh Gardens and the big event of the new Monolith going into place happened at the end of June.
There were many organisations that came together to make this happen and thanks go to all of them;
- to Mike Harrison of Harrison Leisure Ltd who generously agreed the continued use of the crane on the day
- Howard Hall of Hall Bros (Bridlington) Ltd who authorised the use of the crane and Joe who came down on the day
- The West BS team that got it there in time -
- The East Riding of Yorkshire Council Bridlington Grounds Maintenance Team - with Walter Green who helped site it on the day
- Gardeners Ltd who drilled it
- Dave and Simon who did their magic with the crane itself.
- Bridlington in Bloom - Barry and Mollie Mitchell
- and by no means least Martyn Coltman who was fabulous sorting most things out!
