Disclaimer for emails sent from Bridlington Town Council

Emails sent by Bridlington Town Council (hereinafter “the Council”), including any attachments, are confidential and should only be read by those to whom they are addressed. Access to these messages by anyone else is unauthorised. If you are not the intended recipient, any disclosure, copying, or distribution of the message, or any action or omission taken by you in reliance on it, is prohibited and may be unlawful. As a public body, the Council may be required to disclose emails or any responses to them under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, unless the information is covered by one of the exemptions in the Act.

 

If you have received any correspondence from the Council in error, please contact us immediately, and destroy the message along with any copies. Recipients are responsible for verifying the authenticity of any correspondence before acting on its contents, and you should immediately contact the Council if you are unsure if something has come from us. Any views or opinions within correspondence are solely those of the author and, unless explicitly stated, do not necessarily represent the views of the Council.

 

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) introduced on 25 May 2018, the Council cannot hold contact information for a person or authorisation without consent. By emailing, telephoning, or writing to the Council, you are consenting to us retaining any contact details you share with us for the purpose of that correspondence. Please be assured that all contact information held by the Council is securely stored and is only used by the Council for the purpose of contacting you for relevant purposes; we will never share your details with anyone else or contact you for purposes which may be deemed irrelevant or unnecessary. However, if you wish for us to delete your information from our contact records, please contact us and we will ensure this is carried out.
